Responsibilities:

Design and implement web applications and services using Java programming language, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, Flash, and/or Shockwave

Work with other team members to identify and implement features and functionality that create a unique and superior web experience for our customers

Build back-end “content management” functionality for administrative interfaces to web applications

Use modern Java development libraries and toolkits including Tapestry, Hibernate, MySQL, and others to create feature-rich web applications

Follow standard Agile development methodologies to implement solutions

Requirements:

4-year Technical (CS, Engineering) Degree required

Java development – 5+ years

Servlets/JSP – 2+ years

Java persistence (Hibernate, EJB, JDBC) – 3+ years

Databases/SQL – 4+ years

Web applications and web systems design/architecture – 3+ years

Web development – 5+ years

HTML/XHTML – 5+ years

Object oriented design – 5+ years

Excellent personal presentation, oral, and written skills also required

Preferences

Tapestry, Hibernate, JForums, or other Java “community” toolkits

Eclipse, SVN, Ant, Build Tools, Test Track Pro

Flash/Shockwave/Director11 programming

AJAX/JavaScript programming

Web Portal Applications Programming (Portlets, Wiki, Blogs, etc)

Use of patterns in development
